Republican party leader William Seward accepted President-elect Abraham Lincoln's offer of the position of secretary of state. Seward had hoped to win the Republican nomination himself, he slowly became one of Lincoln's most trusted advisors.


Also in history today...I've just been chillin today. I watched another wonderful History Lecture. Even though they are kinda long, but I enjoy them
